The music for the film “Matchmaking” is a delightful combination of old and new sounds that perfectly complements the lighthearted and heartwarming tone of the movie. The film, which puts an Orthodox twist on the classic love story of “Romeo and Juliet,” is brought to life by a soundtrack that blends old Italian soundtracks and Balkan folk music with a modern electronic touch.
The Score was performed by Frank Ilfman and The Grozdan Band utilizing a small string ensemble, Brass players, percussion , some old Roland CR 78 drum machines and organs adding a unique and nostalgic quality to the music.and featuring Nick Pynn on fiddle and mandolins and Hugh Davis on Trumpet and flügel.
